The best way a person can express their love for another person is through a poem. The world has conditioned people not to see the beauty in simple things. Meaning and beauty can be found in anything, it just depends on how a person looks at the world. Which quote from the poem best exemplifies the main idea of the poem? How does the first stanza contribute to the tone of the text? How does the structure of the poem contribute to the overall theme?
How does the story about the man who gave his wife two skunks contribute to the poem? The story about the skunks show the wife was not grateful to her husband. The story about the skunks is meant to show that you can find beauty in anything.
And skin remembers--silk, spiny grass, deep in the pocket that is skin's secret own. Even now, when skin is not alone, it remembers being alone and thanks something larger that there are travelers, that people go places larger than themselves. BMan : Sep 07, Dylan S. Jose Sep 07, I think that the poet is trying to say is the you can find poems any where you look. I think that the mans wife was crying because the skunk might have made a bad smell like they always do. Rachel Sep 07, Lily Sep 07, I thought that the first poem was very funny, because the thought of giving your wife two skunks for Valintines Day is hiterical! Why would he give his wife a skunk if I was her I would probrably be crying too. But he does have a good reason to give her a skunk.
But I would probrably talk to him and tell him why not to give me a skunk. I still want taco bell I am starving people!!!!!! I hate grown up skunks but I love baby skunks!!!!!!! I am still hungry!!! I am starving to!!!!!!!!!!! Faith Sep 08,
