How do i make zsnes full screen

To do so, all you need to do is click the black rectangle next to the game key, then press the new keyboard key or gamepad button. See it below:. Oh, there's more you can customize! Are you finding that the graphics aren't scrolling smoothly? To resolve this, go to the Config menu then Video. This comes up when you play a ROM hack or fan translation.

It's normal; everything's fine. It's a misleading error message because that's not a big deal. If you're having problems with your game right now - the bad checksum error has nothing to do with it. If your game keeps freezing at a specific point, then you are a victim of the infamous game freeze. It's rare! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there's nothing you can do to fix this problem.

Restarting the game from the beginning won't help either. Why does this happen? There's hope if the game you're playing is an RPG. Thank you for reading my tutorial! If you found it useful, please spread the word that this is an awesome site to get help with emulators and emulation!

The filters Here is some explanation and samples for these filters: 2xSai Engine: smears pixels together with a slight blur, and does so diagonally in attempt to round every edge.

Sample: Super Eagle: same as 2xSai, but the screen is less blurred and not all the edges are rounded off. Upload or insert images from URL. Zsnes perfect settings. Share More sharing options Followers 0.

Not only that but when I'm in full screen after unchecking Emulate full screen there's a distracting symbol in the lower right hand corner.

Can you detail the process of your second option: using the "-fullscreen" command line parameter? Where do I type in "-fullscreen? It started sort of in full screen except all the menu options at the top were visible.

If I go into display configuration I can see full screen is not checked. I checked it, my screen flashes like its about to go full screen, then converts back to the window emulating fullscreen with all the menu options at the top.

There was a thread about it somewhere at the author's forum but it didn't provide a solution either. Cheers, DiePlage. DiePlage I am sorry you are having problems with zsnes. I believe it is the best emulator for snes with the only quirk being the Esc button going to menu instead of exiting the emulator. You should supply some more info about your setting in zsnes. I have mine to fullscreen with a aspect, and I also have it stretch to fit because I don't want any black bars showing.

I have never had a problem with black bars on the top and bottom though. What resolution do you have the emu set at? Also, notice that there is another tab on the settings display GUI and more options within there. I had to go to the second tab to uncheck keep aspect ratio so I would not get bars on the sides of the screen.

I hope this help, and I may be able to help more with your problem if you supply more info. My settings are: Custom resolution x native resolution of my TV , stretch disabled keep aspect-ratio , Filters enabled Super eagle Still, there is a bar of about 50px on top and bottom. This happens with or without MP. I have a notebook running a native resolution of x with the same symptoms, ZSNES settings are: Custom resolution x native resolution , stretch disabled keep aspect-ratio , Filters enabled Super eagle.

In other words, the SNES does not use square pixels. Iirc, there's a function somewhere in ATI's catalyst drivers to compensate for different pixelformats. MAYBE this is causing the black bars.

Another possible cause could be the filter algorithm in use. However, this is highly speculative and while I really would like to know a fix for this I can very well live with the black bars I just came across this link ZSNES board :: View topic - fullscreen at the official zsnes board but they didn't find a real solution either.
