Sharon corr how many children

Sharon is, of course, best known as one quarter of Dundalk band The Corrs, alongside her siblings Jim, Caroline and Andrea. One of the biggest-selling Irish bands of all time, The Corrs went on an extended hiatus starting in , raising their own families and pursuing solo careers.

Reunited in , their six studio album White Light was followed by the critically acclaimed Jupiter Calling two years later. Sharon, who is married to Belfast barrister Gavin Bonnar, admits she was a "big fan" of the legal drama, which originally aired from to It was fun and quirky and Vonda was super in it," she recalls.

I ate with Vonda in her kitchen every day and we had great chats. We have a lot in common — music, kids and a love of food — and have swapped recipes and kept in touch ever since," adds the year-old.

Modest about her culinary skills, the Co Louth woman admits Vonda enjoyed her "rainbow trout with pistachio" recipe. Vonda and Sharon's whistle-stop tour of Ireland and Britain will include their own hits, as well as a new duet. I think the show will be very dynamic. We're going to each do our own sets and then at the end join together and do a couple of cover songs," says Sharon, whose personal favourites to perform include Upon An Ocean — which she co-wrote with Vonda's husband — We Could Be Lovers and The Corrs' hit Runaway.

It's about rain — but that is more of a metaphor. Sharon is currently working on her third studio album in Madrid, where she has embraced the Spanish language and lifestyle.

I was crying on the plane, and I didn't care that I was crying. If people were looking at me, that didn't matter. The plane's take-off was delayed for several hours because of a storm, which felt all too appropriate, given Sharon's distress.

She recalls: "I felt the gigantic storm outside was in sync with what was going on in my life. It was almost therapy, because there was definitely a huge storm going on inside of me.

While the plane took ages to take off, I wrote and wrote and wrote. Sharon admits she has found the album's emotional songs difficult to sing live, breaking down in tears during the rehearsals for her first performance of the album in Madrid. It was only for a few minutes, but I was crying. I could see my live band thinking, 'Oh my God, she's having a very female moment over there.

I wrote it when I was weak, whereas now I feel power. I really enjoy my life now. Sharon and her family moved to Madrid after the singer had fallen in love with the city while backpacking through Spain before The Corrs began their music career. She says: "There's a lot of positivity and people speak extremely openly. It's like Ireland, but with sunshine. There are a lot of great jazz clubs to go to, and I like that it's a big city with a slower pace of life.

Cal and Flori have taken to Spanish life even better than their mum, as Sharon laughs: "My children are completely native. They sucked Spain and the language all up in no time. I can speak it quite well, but my accent is dreadful.

The fact Sharon enjoys "a pretty anonymous life" in Spain away from constant recognition adds to Madrid's appeal. As close as the Corr siblings are, they didn't work together for 10 years after their fifth album Home only reached No 14 in The fights aren't the same now, though we were damn good at those.
