To answer this question in entirety would take a great deal of work. There are an infinite amount of scenarios where Spellsteal or any equivalent spell is useful. What I would suggest is to study up on what spells are magic buffs Hand of Protection, Alter Rime, Rejuvenation ticks, etc. And then knowing what spells are able to be stolen and such, you can make use of them in specific situations.
Say you're playing a caster cleave and for whatever reason a paladin uses Hand of Protection. So unless you needed to steal the HoP to save your own life, it wouldn't be worth Speallstealing as you can kill through it. This is a clutch spell that is entirely situational and to learn to use it to its fullest simply comes with experience and knowledge of the game. It is most certainly extremely important and a vital aspect of mage and arena play.
Great this was exaktly what i was looking for, if someone know any new spell that is very important since the post was made i would appreciate it. Our mage's tank was not amused at the effort it took to keep aggro off the mage. A plus spell damage buff from the Menders in the Botanica. Slowfall, from another mage, immediately after chasing said mage off a cliff. Our mage floated down comfortably as he watched his opponent fall to his death. This is possibly the best thing ever done in World of Warcraft, and has made a mage friend of mine comment that he will always be defending the Lumber Mill in Arathi Basin at 70 just so he can do this.
What spells are you looking forward to stealing? Can you think of any evil uses for this spell? All products recommended by Engadget are selected by our editorial team, independent of our parent company.

I used that for a bit, but am a BG mage mostly, so the CD was a deal breaker. Great to be in a large fight and grab buffs here and there off multiple targets. Hello, Can someone explain their strategy or timing for using Spellsteal and Counterspell?
